TAWNY & KNIGHTLEY McKENZIE | MOTHER + DAUGHTER

I was thrilled last weekend to bump into some great friends of mine, Tawny & Ian, at The OC Mart MIX in Costa Mesa and get to meet their adorable 4 1/2-month-old baby girl, Knightley (how can you not love that name, btw?!) for the first time.  I mean, I love babies and think all babies are beautiful - but, THIS baby. Knightley. Wow - so, so, SO cute. She has a better head of hair than any grown-up I know, and absolutely gorgeous blue eyes that'll knock your socks off.

Naturally, I couldn't help myself and snapped a few impromptu photos of Mom + Daughter.  And I thought I'd do this blog post to give you a tiny sample of highlights from our lil' spur-of-the-moment shoot for your baby-oogling pleasure!...

LAURA + DAVE | MATERNITY SESSION - OLD TOWNE ORANGE, CALIFORNIA

I love photography. It is my passion. And I absolutely love everything about being a photographer - particularly when I get to do a session like this one with Laura & Dave (and soon-to-arrive baby Hudson).  It is such a privilege as a photographer to get to share intimate, important moments in life like these with your clients (who, in this case, also happen to be friends of mine - making it even that much more special). 

I met up with Laura & Dave on a sunny afternoon in picturesque Old Towne Orange, California for their maternity shoot. Where do I even begin? This shoot was such an incredible treat. As you'll see in their photos, Laura & Dave just ooze love & happiness - it's impossible to be around them and not have a bit of their joy rub off on you. And, with Baby Hudson due in just a few short weeks, I'm sure the joy will only continue to grow & grow!...

SNEAK PEEK - SANTIAGO OAKS CHRISTMAS CARD SESSION

This afternoon was one of those magical, blistery Southern California winter days that was all-too-perfect for a Christmas Card session with my friend, Natalie Good of A Good Affair Wedding & Event Production, her husband Jason and their two adorable dachshund pups, Maggie & Piper. We had so much fun venturing down the canyon at Santiago Oaks Regional Park in Orange on a mission to capture some holiday-card-worthy shots (complete with hand-knit scarves that were custom-made for the dogs, of course!).  Below is a small selection of sneak-peek pics -- stay tuned for the full blog post with more photos coming soon!...
